I want someone who doesn't want to change me...

This morning I woke up with different outlook on life, as I laid in bed with a million things on my mind, and what feels like the world on my shoulders. I realized that this life is what you make of it.

You are going to make many mistakes, it's inevitable. But the mistakes you choose to make are a direct result of your own actions. That you, and only you, have the choice to either repeat that mistake or learn from it, continue to grow and become a better person as a result of it.

I realized that people will be your friends, or at least pretend to be. Many will come, most will go, very few will stay. But the few that do stay and continue to stand by your side with you through it all, those are your TRUE friends, your 'best friends' and that sisters, they make the very best of friends. It's a bond that can never be broken.

As for guys, well... they too will come & go. And as much as I hate to say it, the majority of them will break your heart, and will eventually walk out of your life just as quickly as they walked in. But don't become angry & bitter, don't give up. Because if you choose to give up, you may never have the opportunity to experience true love, true happiness, or eternal friendship & companionship. And just because you may have failed once, or twice, hell... maybe even a dozen times. Doesn't mean you're going to continue to fail every time, or at everything. Unless you tell yourself you're going to fail, at that point you're only setting yourself up for failure, and it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So continue to try, hold on, don't let go, and always believe in yourself, because if you don't believe in yourself, then who will? Always remember to hold your head high, to keep your chin up, and most importantly... continue to smile, because you never know who could be falling in love with your smile. Smiling is beautiful thing, especially when there are so many things in life to smile about.

Is this love that I'm feeling... Is this the love, that I've been searching for...

What you are witnessing is real.  The participants are not actors/models. They are actual litigants with a case pending in a local municipal court.   Why you ask...? It's simple... fashion police cited this gentleman for his fashion diaster.

No People, this was not at the local Walmart! This was at my own, South Jordan City local Harmon's ('the grocer in your neighborhood', you know the jingle, don't act like you don't!)

When I first saw this gentleman, I thought to myself "Self, Could this be it...? Could this really be love at first sight?" I mean he's sporting a nice pair of New Balance sneakers, cut off shorts - long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to make it more interesting, Legs - that go all the way up, a bandana - that screams "Hey, look at me! I'm a bad @ss biker" and last but not least... a skullet - not to be confused with a mullet, since he's missing the business up front, but he is definitely still rockin the party in the back!!!

He definitely has all the qualities I've been looking for in a man. I'll keep you posted if indeed I actually did find my love connection...

IT'S OFFICIALLY CLYDE SEASON

As most of you know it's CLYDE-SEASON! (which means it's time to celebrate the birth of the Clyde kids!) We start with Carter's and end with Via's the first week on April.

It was Baye's 5th birthday on the 3rd of February (although he doesn't know that, he thinks it was on the 5th this year! Which was also conveniently the day I got home from Hawaii, because what kind of mom would be gone on their kids birthday? NOT THIS ONE!) It was also Hannah's 12th birthday on the 22nd (yes, 12th! Where did the time go?) So we had a little shin dig for Carter and Hannah's "burf-days", with special guests "the BURF day crew" (that was for you John! A little Simpons Humor...)

Oh... and just a little F.Y.U. (or FYI? Which ever you prefer...)

Hannah just received her Faith in God award and she is now in Young Women's. This was a huge accomplishment for her. (it took four years to accomplish all the goals that were set for her.) We are so proud of her! Also, she has become quite the dancer, she has been asked to compete @ Disneyland in April and is so excited as Olivia and Myself will be going with her, it should be a fun girls weekend that she'll be sure to always remember! So I decided to see if we could get enough people to sponsor her (kinda like you'd sponsor a handicapped kid for the special Olympics, but she's not handicapped and well, it's not the Olympics? But she is special! lol...) So if you'd like to help sponsor our little Wednesday's child we would very much appreciate it. Just teasing, but it was funny! xoxoxo

"Man-cating, Missing cats and Midget Modeling"

Wow! What a weekend!

With Joe "Man-cating" on his first annual "Mancation!" He and some friends (if that's what you want to call them?) decided to spend the weekend in St. George and Las Vegas... golfing, gambling and well, something about making man piles? Who knows? All I heard was Patrick yelling... "Let's get Gay!" Sounds odd to me? Boys will be Boys!

It was a long weekend for Olivia, her cat Bella decided that he (I know, Bella! He! We thought he was a she until we took him to get fixed, needless to say he's a she now!) needed his own little mancation a few blocks away from home. Fortunately for us we were able to find him thanks to the Daybreak community message board. The kids were a little unsure if it was truly "Bella" so we had to confirm with the bologna test (it works like a charm!). He's now home and getting some well deserved R&R...

And well, with Joe being gone things can get a little boring. So what better to do than "Midget Modeling"? I know... things tend to get a little crazy when "the cat's away! (pun intended!) But I couldn't sleep so I decided to re-dress Bill (a "little" family friend). It's not as kinky as it sounds! Since Joe's clothes wouldn't fit we decided that the boys would fit perfect and they we're more than willing to share with their new brother. The resemblance was crazy, I couldn't tell who was who!

I think we officially put the F.U. in fun this weekend!

SAFETY PATROL! Saving lives one kid at a time!

Last week it was working in the lunchroom, this week it's SAFETY PATROL! Boy have times changed since I was in school... Way to go Hannah we're so proud of you!

A day for Brooklynn and Jaiden!

It was a big day for two little people!

Jaiden and Brookie were blessed on Sunday by their Uncle Joe.

It was such a special moment for me and such an honor that Jasmine and Russell would ask Joe do it. (you should have heard the excitment in Joe's voice!)

I love you so much and I'm so proud of you guys!

The Three Amigos (yes, amigos not amigas!)

It's Here! The moment you've all been waiting for...

Scout had her three little puppies (tres perritos) last night!

Three of the smallest, adorable little pups you have ever seen!
#1 Brown with two white "socks", and a white spot on his noggin. Weighing in at a scale tipping .40 of a pound, this little guy started the show at 12:30pm.

#2 Whitey "Tighty" with brown spots....maybe that's why he cries so much....big ball baby showed up at 1:03am this morning, all .25 lbs of him.
And finally...
#3 Solid Gold!....errr solid brown but this little guy has some mean dance moves, when he shakes that .35 lb can, the ladies go crazy! (Ladies meaning me, he's one of my favorites!) Arriving at 1:48 am, this little guy was the last of the litter...don't worry Joe stayed up until 5:00 just to make sure!

No names at the moment, we need to "feel" out their little personalities. I'm sure the kids will have names for them in no time!

Scout is doing great well that is for a single mom of three, that dead beat dad better show up with puppy pads, squeaky toys, and a RING to make this right!

Well, I'll you keep you all posted on the updates...

My kids are cuter than yours!

Well, since this is the first time I have ever blogged, I thought I'd start with a picture of my girls because my page looks so plain.

Everything I do have on my page I've copied from a friend. Including the name (a little play on her words!)
Let's hope it get's better from here!
